Evan Michelson is co-owner of Obscura Antiques & Oddities as well as a musical/performance artist with background in in the East Village industrial/fetish/giant robot scene. She is also an ethical vegetarian, a Victorian hairwork collector, an aesthete, and scholar-in-residence at the Morbid Anatomy Library, where she delivers regular lectures.

 

At Sinister Creature Con, Evan will lecture on “A Brief History of Goth", tracing the roots of that particular subculture back several hundred years, and examining the intellectual underpinnings of the movement.
